FINAL Aug. 12th: Candidates begin to file for office

Final Aug. 12th. David Vespremi, to be appointed to the MCC, is the only new addition today.

In the Half Moon bay City Council race there are nien candidates running for three open slots. Coastsider has the story.

This is the final list of candidates who have filed for coastside, county offices for the 2009 election.

Coastside County Water District–the election will be held with the following candidates:
Two 4-year terms

James D. Johnson (Management Consultant)
Chris R. Mickelsen (Incumbent)
Jerry Donovan (Retired Police Officer)

Coastside Fire Protection District–the election will be held with the following candidates:
Three 4-year terms
Gary Burke (Incumbent)
Charles Netherby (Retired Union Representative)
Ginny McShane (Incumbent)
Jeffrey B. Cockrell (Incumbent)
Gary Riddell (Retired Firefighter)
Max De Vos (Business Owner)
David Eufusia (Retired Fire Chief)

Granada Sanitary District–the election will be held with the following candidates:
Three 4-year terms
Ric Lohman (Incumbent)
Gael Erickson (Incumbent)
Leonard Woren (Incumbent)
Lisa McCaffrey (Registered Nurse)
Bill Griffis (Residential Mortgage Consultant)

Midcoast Community Council–The following candidates will be appointed. There will not be an election.
Four 4-year terms
Len Erickson
Tim Payne
David Vespremi

Montara Water and Sanitary District–The following candidates will be appointed. There will not be an election.
Three 4-year terms
