On Wednesday the Midcoast Community Council will host a candidate forum for those running to replace Rich Gordon on the Board of Supervisors.
Although all five members of the Board of Supervisors vote on coastal issues, and all other issues, that come before them, the winner of this election for the 3rd District will presumably be the one who takes greatest interest in our affairs.
Rich Gordon was termed out of office and is seeking election in the California Assembly.
The candidates for Gordon’s seat are (in alphabetical order) Matt Grocott, Jack Hickey, Don Horsley, Michael Stogner, and April Vargas. All are expected to attend the forum which will be run by the San Mateo County League of Women Voters.
The Midcoast Community Council has been holding these important candidate forums for a variety of races for many years, usually offering voters on the coast their only chance to see and hear the candidates interact.
The event, which starts at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, April 28th, is expected to last about an hour and takes place at the Seton Medical Center in Moss Beach. As you go up the drive, turn left to park in the upper, visitor parking lot. Please do not park in the lower parking lot next to the emergency room.
