With another 15,000 votes counted since election night in the Board of Supervisors race, Don Horsley has inched up to 39% of the vote from 38.6% while April Vargas drops slightly to 23.7% from 24.2%.
The total vote count the election night stood at 62,154. With Thursday’s report it has risen to 77,226. By one report there remains about 40,000 absentee ballots still to count, with the next update scheduled for this Tuesday.
Horsley and Vargas are slated for a run-off this November since neither candidate was able to garner 50% of the vote.
