Full volume tsunami siren test today at 10 a.m.

On Wednesday September 7, 2011 at 10 a.m. The Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services will conduct a FULL VOLUME test of the eight sirens along the coast.
The sirens will sound approximately one to three minutes. This is only a test.

The sirens are designed to warn the low lying coast areas of tsunami not the entire coastside. If there was an actual threat of a tsunami, tune to KCBS 740AM radio for more information.
