Applicants for the two vacant seats on the Midcoast Community Council were interviewed at Wednesday’s MCC meeting. Mirimar resident Ric Lohman and Moss Beach resident Sabrina Brennan answered the Council’s questions for just under an hour.

There are two open slots on the MCC and Lohman and Brennan are the only two applicants.

The MCC will vote on whether one or both should be appointed to the MCC at its next meeting on September 24th. This vote will take the form of a recommendation to the county Board of Supervisors who will then make the final decision.

During the questioning it seemed clear that the five-members of the MCC were favorable to both candidates. However, at the suggestion of applicant Ric Lohman, the MCC is encouraging public comment on the two applicants.

Comments are probably most useful before the September 24 MCC meeting.
