High wind advisory starts now, flash flood watch starts 7, high surf advisory starts at 9 tomorrow morning

The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services has received Bay Area weather watches and advisories from the National Weather Service.  We are expecting rain tonight and Friday with brief heavy downpours.

Weather impacts may be worse in higher elevations that include urban and small stream flooding. Tune in to KCBS News Radio 740AM or the National Weather Service www.weather.gov/sanfrancisco for the latest weather information and stay safe.

FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in place from 7pm tonight through Friday afternoon. Impacts may include smaller creeks over flowing their banks, debris flows and landslides in mountainous areas.

WIND ADVISORY is in place through Friday with gusts over 50 mph in some areas. Impacts may include downed trees, downed powerlines and possible power outages.

HIGH SURF ADVISORY is in place from 9am Friday through 4am on Saturday.  Impacts include strong rip currents, large breaking waves and possible beach erosion.
