Burglary in HMB and suspicious female in Miramar

PRESS RELEASE

Half Moon Bay, CA: On, Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at approximately 3:30 pm, San Mateo County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched on report of a residential burglary in the 600 Block of Ruisseau Francais Ave, in the city of Half Moon Bay. Deputies responded and discovered a sliding glass door to the rear of the residence had been smashed out and the residence had been ransacked. It was discovered the suspects took jewelry and collectible coins. The burglary is thought to have occurred sometime between 9:00 am and 3:30 pm today’s date.

Additionally, earlier in the afternoon, at approximately 2:30 pm, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office received report of a suspicious female knocking on the front door of a home in the 500 block of nearby Miramar Drive, in Miramar. When the resident answered the door, the unknown female subject asked for somebody who did not live there. Deputies responded to the area, but were unable to locate the suspicious female. At this time, it is unknown if this suspicious circumstance is related to the above described burglary.
